The University at Buffalo Art Galleries is an acclaimed visual arts organization that showcases the finest contemporary works by an array of distinguished artists from across the globe. Its mission is to showcase compelling exhibitions and educational programs for visitors of all ages and backgrounds. The UB Art Galleries fosters artistic excellence by engaging students and faculty in visual art discussions and supporting the academic mission of UB. Its exhibition program features solo, group, and themed exhibitions that explore a diverse range of media and styles. These exhibitions often feature emerging and mid-career artists as well as established artists of national and international acclaim. The programming includes interactive public events, lectures, conversations, and screenings that take place both in the galleries and other locations. The UB Art Galleries also house a permanent collection of works that reflect the regional and global nature of the University. One of its current exhibits, Sally Cook: 1960–Present, celebrates the works of the renowned artist from the 1960s to the present day.
