Auriesville Shrine


The Shrine of Our Lady of Martyrs, situated in the hamlet of Auriesville in Fultonville, NY, is a significant site of historical and religious importance. The area was once the 17th Century Mohawk Village of Ossernenon and is now a Roman Catholic shrine that honors three Jesuit missionaries who were martyred here, along with St. Kateri Tekakwitha, a Mohawk/Algonquin woman who was born in the village.
