Jaroslav Valečka is a contemporary painter from Northern Bohemia whose work captures the “dark“ landscape of the region from his childhood and adolescence. His pieces, part of the international stucco movement, offer insight into the history and existence of the area through their clarity of form and classic painting techniques. The Regional Museum and Gallery in Most currently has his work in an exhibition, with other collection items from the area.
